From England we are setting out for San Francisco and the Pacific North West.
It was April when we arrived in SF and stayed with our friends Rich and Debra, then we picked up our rig in North California, where we left it last May, with our friends Ed and Cindy. After going to a Bluegrass Campout in Turlock, where we met up with other friends, we headed north to the coastal mountains of Northern California, where we met up with our Friends Roy and Anne. We chose to travel up the Eat side of the Cascades into Oregon, where we visited Crater Lake, Bend Smiths Rock SP and then the Columbia Gorge. From there we ventured to the coast to Astoria, home of The Goonies before crossing into Washington State. Here we visited Mount St Helens before going to a bluegrass weekend in Shelton at the gateway to Olympia NP, which we explored somewhat. We then moved East, not seeing Mt Rainier because of the weather, but enjoying the Northern Cascades before following the Columbia River to the Grand Coulee Dam and on into Idaho. We crossed Idaho and visited the Glacier NP in Montana. Heading South we stayed at Yellowstone NP and the curved Westward again to our final destination on this trip, our friends Chuck and Carla.
